Lake Eland 2014
t is all systems go for the Lake Eland Quattro Classic powered by The Burry Stander Foundation on Sunday.
Riders are relishing the race and are expected to converge on Lake Eland Game Reserve from all corners of KwaZulu-Natal to obtain a special commemorative Burry Stander medal.
Riders of all skill levels are catered for with a 45km ride for advanced riders, a 25km ride for intermediate riders and a 10km ride for beginners and younger riders.
Riders will be treated to spectacular open mountain sections as well as beautiful valley and orchard trails, which coupled with game-viewing opportunities, promises to make the Lake Eland Quattro Classic one of the most picturesque and memorable races of the year.
Riders will also be in line to win one of 300 special Burry Stander water bottles as well as prizes sponsored by Oakley, Specialized, Rotor, Powasol, Bobby’s Cycles, Superbodies, La Femme Beauty Spa and Cakes Devine among others.
On top of that, riders will receive goodie bags and stand a chance to win a two-night stay for two including breakfast at Leopard Walk Lodge situated 20km northeast of Hluhluwe courtesy of Distant Shores Travel Agency.
Pre-entry costs R60 (10km), R130 (25km) and R170 (45km).
Late entries will be accepted on the day at an addition fee.
Registration starts at 7am on race day with the races getting underway at 9am.
